Located on the foothills of the Massif des Bauges in Saint Pierre d’Albigny, a short distance away from the Mont Blanc Mountain, Domaine Vendange extends over 10 hectares, on south facing slopes where Jacquère, Altesse, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Mondeuse fully express their authentic typical aromas. The Vendange family has been involved with the viticulture and agronomic industries for quite some time as they are one of the largest vine nurseries in the region. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Benjamin Vendange returned to the family property in 2015 . With his partner Diane Gounel, oenologist from Languedoc -Roussillon, the step was taken to start their own estate with the family’s holdings.

Organic (no certification). This chardonnay comes from 25 year old vines, and was native fermented in a mix of stainless and 15% older barrels, with full malolactic fermentation. It remains there for 10 months, with bâtonnage.

Superb Bourgogne Chardonnay alternative! Elegant nose with a balanced mix of floral, spicy and brioche notes. The energic palate is intense and precise, delivering a mouth-coating texture. The finish is long and persistent. This wine would age beautifully.
