Located in the heart of Combe de Savoie, Domaine Vendange is a young and dynamic estate dedicated to showcasing the authenticity of Savoie through organic farming, minimal intervention winemaking and the preservation of the region’s traditional grape varieties.

The Estate

Founded in 2015 by Benjamin Vendange and Diane Gounel, the estate is based in Saint-Pierre-d’Albigny at the foot of the Bauges Massif. From its inception, the project has focused on producing expressive wines that reflect the unique landscapes and mountain influence of Savoie. Despite its young age, Domaine Vendange has quickly established itself as one of the region’s most exciting artisanal producers.

Vineyards and Terroir

The estate farms approximately 10 hectares of south-facing vineyards planted on soils formed by glacial moraines. Limestone, scree, clay and alluvial deposits create a mosaic of terroirs that contribute freshness, minerality and complexity. Traditional Alpine varieties such as Jacquère, Altesse and Mondeuse thrive in this environment, benefiting from warm days and cool mountain nights that preserve natural acidity and aromatic precision.

Winemaking

Organic farming principles guide vineyard management, with a strong emphasis on biodiversity and soil health. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out using indigenous yeasts and intervention is kept to a minimum. Gentle extraction techniques, limited sulphur use and careful élevage in stainless steel and selected oak vessels allow each wine to express its origin with clarity and purity.

Wine Style

The wines are vibrant, energetic and distinctly Alpine. Jacquère delivers freshness and mineral tension, Altesse offers texture and aromatic complexity, while Mondeuse combines dark fruit, spice and freshness. Across the range, the wines reflect the mountain character and remarkable diversity of Savoie’s terroirs.
