Dating back to the 11th Century, The Château de Meursault estate comprises 60 hectares of vines, all situated in the Côte de Beaune. The estate changed hands In 2012, bringing a brand new vision and approach under the supervision of Managing Director Stéphane Follin-Arbelet. The domaine is now certified organic. The winemaking is respectful to terroir, new oak ranges from 25-40% and the wines are aged for 15-18 months in the magnificent and impressive Cistercian vaulted cellars, which date back to the 12th, 14th and 16th centuries, beneath the Château. All the wines are estate grown as the Château de Meursault does not source any juice/wines from the negoce trade. The Château de Meursault also hosts the Paulée de Meursault on the Monday after the Hospices de Beaune sale every year, with the cuvérie being cleared of vats and vintage paraphernalia in order to lay tables for lunch for 600 people.

Organic. A platière refers to a flat area. This plot is the highest in Pommard area with 3.3 hectares classified as village, and 2.5 hectares as premier cru. This plot belonged to Prince Florent de Mérode before being sold to the Haley Family. 100% pinot noir. Traditional Burgundy vinification. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels (40% new).

Plenty of energy, lively and exciting. Excellent balance between the energetic red fruit and the structure, not too tannic, , good acidity to finish, a really nice medium -bodied wine. Drink from 2026-2030.
