Headquartered at the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaines & Maison Famille Picard represents 135 hectares of vines in property, including 35 in the Côte de Beaune with Au Pied du Mont Chauve, and 100 in the Côte Châlonnaise with four different estates: Château de Davanay, Domaine Voarick, Domaine Champs-Perdrix, Domaine Levert Barrault. All the estates are certified organic / biodynamic and are under the supervision of CEO Francine Picard, daughter of founder Michel Picard. Sorting, pressing, fermentation, racking and bottling is all carried out according to the lunar calendar. Only natural yeasts are used during fermentation and particular attention is paid to the selection of oak casks as well as to the bottling date, in order to emphasize the different characteristics of each site.

Biodynamic. The steep climat ‘Charmois’’ is located on the Chassagne Montrachet side, below the pink marble quary and facing over the Montrachet Grand Cru on a south / south east exposed terroir made of shallow and poor rocky soils. 100% old vine chardonnay - biodymanic. Traditional Burgundy vinification. Aged on lees 10 months in French oak barrels + an extra 8 months in tanks.

Delicate bouquet with orange pith and light apricot scents, quite restrained and nicely focused. The palate is well balanced with a fine poise and light saline notes. Quite persistent towards the finish. Pleasant salinity on the finish. It is a firm, tender wine, a little sharp when young, then becoming full-bodied and complete over time.
