Vincent Carême has established himself as one of the leading ambassadors of Vouvray and Chenin Blanc. The Estate

Founded in 1999 in Vouvray, Domaine Vincent Carême has grown into one of the Loire Valley’s benchmark producers. From the outset, Vincent Carême focused on expressing the diversity of Chenin Blanc through carefully farmed vineyard sites and traditional winemaking methods. Today, the estate is internationally recognized for both its still and sparkling wines.

Vineyards and Terroir

The estate farms approximately 17 hectares of vineyards planted on the renowned tuffeau limestone soils of Vouvray. Clay, flint and limestone combine to create ideal conditions for Chenin Blanc, contributing freshness, minerality and complexity. Influenced by the Loire River and a cool continental climate, the vineyards produce grapes with vibrant acidity and exceptional balance.

Winemaking

Organic and biodynamic principles guide vineyard management, with hand harvesting and meticulous fruit selection throughout the growing season. Fermentations are carried out using indigenous yeasts, while ageing takes place in a combination of stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels depending on the cuvée. Sparkling wines are produced using the traditional method, with extended lees ageing adding depth and finesse.

Wine Style

The wines are defined by precision, texture and mineral tension. Dry Vouvrays offer citrus, orchard fruit and chalky freshness, while sweeter styles combine richness with remarkable balance. Across the range, Chenin Blanc expresses both elegance and longevity, making Vincent Carême one of the Loire’s most respected specialists.
