Valle d'Aosta Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle Glacier Extra Brut
In the northwest corner of Italy, in the mountainous region of Valle d’Aosta, directly underneath the famed Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco), sits the aptly named Cave Mont Blanc, the foremost producer of Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle. The cooperative regroups 80 members and is mostly dedicated to the production of sparkling wines made of the indigenous pergola-trained pre-phyloxera and ungrafted grape Prié Blanc. Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle is the highest appellation in Europe, right at the foothill of Monte BIanco (Mont Blanc) between 1,000 and 1,200 m.
100% old vine prié blanc organically farmed in the village of Morgex. Metodo Classico. First fermentation takes place in large oak casks and stainless steel tanks, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Disgorgement is carried out after 20 months. RS 1-2 g/l
