Côtes de Provence Torpez Bravade Rosé
Saint-Tropez is a legendary location on the Mediterranean French Riviera, synonymous with luxury and celebrity. The Chevalier Torpez wines, made by the Vignobles Saint-Tropez, are a genuine and unique part of this dreamland, exemplifying everything magical that Saint-Tropez has to offer. Vignobles Saint-Tropez was founded in 1908 and is located in the heart of the village and is owned and managed by winegrowers who are mostly descendants of the founder families and who still bring their grapes to the winery. The team is led by David Bonnet, President and 3rd generation grower of an 18 ha estate, and Alain Guichet, winemaker with over 25 vintages experience across France. Chevalier TORPEZ is the great man who gave his name to the old village and became the patron saint and protector of the city. Benefiting from a gorgeous natural setting between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif des Maures : the vines are firmly rooted in the very ancient parent granite rock (500 million years old - identical to the Northern Rhône terroirs), mica schist and gneiss. The slight slopes enjoy exceptional sunlight hours, caressed by the sea breeze, the cooling winds coming off the sea.
72% grenache, 12% tibouren, 11% mourvèdre, 5% cinsault. Hand harvested. Indigenous yeast. Vinified separately. Temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation for 3-4 weeks on the lees with regular stirring. Aging on lees with regular stirring for 5 months in concrete vats.
Elegant and rich nose with aromas of white flowers (orange blossom), notes of red berries with some iodized and liquorice touches. Crisp and fleshy on the palate, with a citrusy freshness, slight saltiness and eucalyptus notes. A very expressive wine with a complex texture in the mouth that lead into a lengthy finish on the palate.
