Regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy, Domaine Duband has been recognized recently by La Revue du Vin de France (one of France’s leading wine guides), when they awarded the Domaine their coveted 3 stars, along with other super stars like DRC, Leroy and Georges Roumier. Certified organic since 2010, the 17 hectare estate produces 23 different appellations from Nuits St Georges to Gevrey Chambertin.
100% pinot noir. Blend of 50 year old average vines coming from lieux-dits La Charmotte, Aux Saints-Juliens and Les Plateaux. The marly and limestone terroir faces east. Hand harvested. 80% whole cluster. Two week long maceration in stainless steel tanks. Aged 14 months in new oak barrels (40%) and used oak barrels (60%). No fining, no filtration
This ripe and succulent red features cherry, raspberry and spice aromas. The tannins are dense, the finish slightly rustic and compact.
