Located in Cisterna d’Asti, Cascina Vèngore is a natural amphitheater in the heart of Terre Alfieri, a new DOCG (2020) representing the ideal synthesis of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato. The 26 hectare property, with
16 hectares devoted to vines, is a realm of biodiversity where organic regenerative agriculture prevails.
Arneis, Barbera and Nebbiolo are farmed along the same principles in one single holding around a traditional Piedmontese farmhouse. It is managed by the dynamic Lucrezia Povero, whose family has vigneron blood dating back to 1837.
Winemaking is non interventionist and the use of sulphites is judicious. The resulting wines are pleasant, elegant and fresh, yet juicy and full-bodied, capable of facing long aging and evolving in finesse and harmony.
