Cascina Vèngore wine range

Nestled in the hills between Monferrato, Roero and Langhe, Cascina Vèngore is a young estate built on generations of family winegrowing experience. The focus is simple: native Piedmontese varieties, organic farming and wines that express the character of the land.

The Estate

Founded in 2012 by Lucrezia Povero, Cascina Vèngore represents the revival of a historic agricultural site in Cisterna d’Asti. The Povero family has been growing grapes in Piedmont since 1837, and the project reflects a long-term commitment to preserving local traditions, biodiversity and the region’s native grape varieties. Today, the estate has become one of the leading ambassadors of the emerging Terre Alfieri appellation.

Vineyards and Terroir

The estate forms a natural amphitheatre surrounded by vineyards, meadows and woodland. Its 16 hectares of vines sit within a 26-hectare property on fossil-rich soils composed of limestone, clay, sand and silt. Ideal exposures and a protected microclimate create excellent growing conditions, while organic farming and regenerative practices encourage biodiversity and long-term soil health throughout the estate.

Winemaking

Cascina Vèngore works exclusively with native Piedmontese varieties including Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis. Winemaking combines traditional methods with a thoughtful, low-intervention philosophy. Stainless steel, amphorae and large Slavonian oak casks are used according to the needs of each wine, preserving purity, freshness and vineyard expression.

Wine Style

The wines are defined by freshness, purity and balance. Arneis offers floral aromatics and mineral tension, Barbera combines vibrant fruit with lively acidity, while Nebbiolo delivers structure, spice and ageing potential. Across the range, the wines remain elegant, food-friendly and distinctly Piedmontese.
