Founded in Chablis in 1955, Maison Pascal Bouchard is dedicated exclusively to the wines of Chablis. Drawing on decades of expertise and access to some of the region’s finest vineyard sites, the house produces precise, mineral-driven Chardonnay that reflects the unique identity of Burgundy’s northernmost vineyards.
The Estate
Today part of the Albert Bichot family, Pascal Bouchard continues to focus entirely on Chablis. The range spans every level of the appellation, from Petit Chablis and Chablis to Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards, offering a comprehensive expression of the region’s diverse terroirs.
Vineyards and Terroir
The vineyards are rooted in the famous Kimmeridgian limestone soils that define Chablis. Formed from ancient marine sediments rich in fossilized oyster shells, these soils contribute the freshness, minerality and tension for which the region is known. The cool continental climate further preserves acidity and precision, allowing each vineyard site to express its individual character.
Winemaking
Winemaking is guided by a commitment to purity and site expression. Fermentations are carefully managed to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. Stainless steel is used extensively throughout the range, while selected Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines receive measured oak ageing to add texture and complexity without masking the character of the fruit or terroir.
Wine Style
The wines are defined by freshness, precision and minerality. Citrus, green apple and white flower aromas are supported by vibrant acidity and a distinctive chalky character. Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottlings add depth, texture and remarkable ageing potential while retaining the hallmark purity of Chablis.
